I'd shim it rather than tighten it down more. You don't want to compress your flanges (or whatever they are called?) to meet the a-arm. That is bad mechanical practice.

It should be easy to find washers to match the ones AJ included with your kit. The only hard part is if you only need half the thickness, then you'd have to grind it thinner. Best if you could find them stock in a much thinner design. Anyone know of a place to get these in different thicknesses? I want to purchase some so that I can shim properly as well.

the thing is the stock a arms are actually pretty thin. I've destroyed a set on my machine when my a arm bolt went and was shocked at how thin they were. MLS fixed it for me over the service bulletin thing . 2 months later and I have the upper one on the side that was fixed bent back about 2". It prob isn't a bad idea for anyone that rides their machine anywhere close to hard to get the a arms replaced and maybe even the upgraded wheel studs too. Looks like i need to find a local machine shop to modify the upper sleeves to 12mm so the a arms will work with the upgraded bolt.

thatcanadianguy - I covered this (with pictures) earlier in this post. Go to McMaster Carr, they have stainless steel, brass, copper, and PTFE shims in various thicknesses (0.002" / 0.005" / 0.010" 0.020") and sizes that will fit over the AC sleeve and fit inside the AC dust seal. My measurements showed that I had anywhere between 0.005" to 0.021" of play in the four (4) front and ten (10) rear pivots on my machine. Any pivot that had over 0.005" movement has the ability to make the clunking noise. I measured and shimmed each pivot accordingly which eliminated all the noises. The shims work perfectly and I have many brutal but quiet miles since. I also added grease fittings to each pivot which will make my AC bushings last a very long time by adding lubrication AND keeping the water/dirt out of the joint! Take some measurements - you should be able to find shims for the aftermarket bushing/sleeves that you are using.

Brought my Wildcat Sport Limited home today from the dealership that I bought a few days ago. I had to wait for the Sedona Ripsaw tires to come in and I had to buy a new trailer since my old one was a little 4x6 to haul a mower.
