    Down bars

I'm thinking of having a set of down bars welded in. I would like to see how and where you guys tied into the read frame. Moral of the story I want it to still look good.

Glen, I've been thinkin about them too.. Should look at using the tube clamps so you can weld to those and not directly to cage. If I ever get some on and have a mishap, should be easier to deal with than air arcing cage to get em off.. I'll let somebody that has them comment on rear mounting!

Love the down bars, hate the price !! Its equivalent to the harness bars in my book - not a lotta metal for the money. We're talking about a 44" 1.75" bar with clamps on each end for $150+. Compare that to a harness bar for a Porsche or Honda for autocross racing which sell for $99 and you start to get just a wee bit ticked about the price. At least with the down bars you get TWO pipe lengths instead of one !

I want them welded in but like I said I'm confused about where to tie into the rear frame. I'm not worried about removing them cause I'll be using weld in bungs to solve that issue
