    Broken casting in crankcase/starter

After looking in to this issue on the forums, I realized that I'm not alone with this problem. I'd like to know how the welding fix is holding up for those who have gone that route, rather than replacing the entire crank case. It put a damper on my first trip to Moab...What a terrible design! Any feed back would be appreciated.
