just purchased a 2013 wildcat and have a year model question

    Hi all,

Just picked up an older wildcat to see if we will actually use it before dropping too much $$ on something new. The one I purchased is in excellent condition 936miles and 100hrs on it.

My question is.......How can I tell If this one is a 2013 or 2013.5 model? Does the vin tag actually have 2013.5 on it? It was manufactured 2/2013.

    Thanks
    Tracy

Welcome tadams, nice looking car! The 13.5s I believe had the Team clutch. See if your clutch cover is aluminum, and says Team on it. If it's black, it's probably an early '13. Try to look into harnesses soon. Congrats!

Yes it has the aluminum housing that says team clutch. Why you mentioned looking into wire harness? Are there known harness issues?

Not sure if it makes a difference on the harness but this thing has never been mud/water or sand.

No, I meant shoulder harnesses. Now that I looked at your car again, looks like you might have them. Tough to tell.

That's a great price for such a clean car. Have a look around here, read up on some threads. Hopefully, you have bought an extra belt, and have all the necessary tools including a jack to change it. Break a belt in the field, and you don't have one, you're stuck.

I’ve been reading on here a lot the past few days.... there is a wealth of good info for sure. I haven’t invested in another belt yet but I absolutely have the tools and the background to change one. I’ll just be riding on my own little 30 acres of property at home for now. I’ll have to order a belt, no artic cat dealers anywhere around me.

I would suggest the OEM belt. There are plenty of threads on belt break in too.
