    power steering problem !!

I just turn the key on and the steering turned hard left all the way to the stop and didn't want to let me turn it back to center. When I turned the key off the steering wheel shock a little but stayed hard left. after the power was turned off I could turn the wheel back to center. Anybody have this happen before and if so what is the fix. Or any ideas ?? No codes that I can see. TIA

Several years ago this happen to a friends RZR. He had aftermarket PS and one day in the desert when he started it up, it did a similar thing. What we did was turn it off. Turn back to center. Pull the PS fuse. Start up the car. Steer Right to Left, lock to lock back to center. Then shut it off and put the fuse back in. Restart the car, do the same Right to Left, lock to lock and back to center. Since then he’s never said anything about it doing it again.

Maybe try that and see what it does.

^^^^ Hopefully that works, but it sounds like a bad torque sensor in your power steering unit. Check your connections between the ECU and the PS motor. Hopefully its just a bad connection, but it sounds like the torque sensor may be fried.

I dropped it off at the dealer 9:00 this morning to have it checked out. The service manager overheard that i was supposed to leave tomorrow to set up an emergency radio communications system up in the forest for a race this weekend and took it upon himself to go out and pull a new EPS unit off of one of the new inventory xx in his lot and 1 an a half hours later I got a call to come get my rig! Talk about customer service. When is the last time you heard of a service manager grab some tools and just do the work himself. PROPS TO IRON CITY in PHOENIX AZ. thanks DAVID

I agree it is a good thing to have a dealer take care of his customers. I was in the middle of Utah in a RZR, blew the motor. I was by myself, no phone service, not sure what to do. A guy in a 4 seater Wildcatx pulled up, he had his family with him. Asked if he could help. He pulled me back to where my trailer was, a long way. He was Dean Bullock, owner of D&P Performance in Cedar City, Utah. He helped me pull it on my trailer. I pulled my RZR to his shop in Cedar, he rebuilt the motor and sold it for me. I bought my first WildcatX, never to own another Polaris. I am a fan of AC, great machines and Dean Bullock is a great AC dealer.
