Has anyone put on aftermarket skid plates on their ride yet? After Brimstone mine aren't looking too good wanting better protection.

I utilize Factory UTV skid plates and their website now has them for the Wildcat XX. They have done a good job protecting the underside at Hatfield McCoy trails and Ride Royal Blue.

I found a plastic supplier in town and ended up making my own for my trails. This allowed me to kind of customize it and add protection where I wanted. It was much cheaper for me to do this than buy a pre-fabricated skid. It did take some time to manufacture it myself though.

Considering making my own, Grainger has a 4ft x 10ft sheet for under $300

The XX is fairly flat, so using the factory skid as a template should be easy enough.
I realize the aftermarket skids are process made and formed which would likely fit better but it's under the rig who's gonna care, not the rocks!
isn't the linked product only 1/4" (0.250") thick?...most go 1/2" thick with tusk 3/8" thick...

Trail armor are great. Built in rock sliders. I am pretty sure they are what the MLS guys are running on their XX's too that I saw at WWW.
