I used to be able to 75mph with no problem, now I seem to be hitting the rev limiter when I am full throttle at about 45mph and 7400 rpm, if I back off it is fine, 2/3 throttle no issue. I have tried to fix this issue with a Dalton clutch kit and replaced some bad inner rollers in the secondary clutch, but issue is not fixed? I am in high gear when the cutting out happens, it will do it in low gear as well but I am not in low very often. Spider nut is bad? I have ordered a clutch puller to check spider nut but what like to know if anyone has had this issue?

How's your belt?

Can you feel or see an actual difference in low to high as far as speed to rpm? Could you be in low even though it says high?

I have changed the belt twice and I am definitely in high gear, there is a big difference between high and low gear speeds.

Does the primary shift smoothly? Or slide in and out easy? You can do the marker trick, draw a line on the inner primary sheave from the shaft on out then run it and see how high the belt is shifting.

Could be the primary sheaves are are hanging up (binding on the shaft) and not separating all the way
