Hey everyone,

So took my cat out for the first maiden voyage and good hell there was all types of noise coming from the front end. Had the normal squeaks and all but there was popping all over the place. Started looking around under the front end everything was snug but not tight. There was a little play in the A arms and the tie rods feel pretty loose. Tightened up everything under there that I could but tie rods just seam to be shot. If I'm going to do them I would like to upgrade to a heavier set since I have been reading about how weak the stockers are. Found all these pictures but for the life of me I cant fine anyone that sells them. All i have found is newer and nock offs on amazon. Anyone give me some help on a place to look and advise on the best for the buck. I don't mind paying for security but I also know most expensive is not always the best out there. Thanks for any help guys.

There are quite a few Supporting Vendors that sell aftermarket tie rods. Click the forum tab, and scroll down. Quite a few of us, myself included run Pace Offroad tie rods. Any aftermarket tie rod is better than stock, but remember, as I tell many, once you have better tie rods, the "hit" you take now with a stronger tie rod, will probably be transferred to the steering box. Steering boxes go for about $2K. The Pace kit does come with a shear plate, to hopefully eliminate that.

They don't have a website, and although they keep telling us it's coming, well........... I wouldn't hold my breath. Most of us just call. Their tie rods come smooth, or scalloped. I have the scalloped ones, look pretty cool! Pace Offroad is owned by Greg Biffle of NASCAR fame, if you didn't know. You can also get them powder coated any color. Give them a shout tomorrow for prices.

If you do give them a shout, ask about their 12mm stud upgrade kit. Another must do. It's cheaper if you get the Kawasaki studs, but their kit is pretty nice, IMO. I have it, can't complain.
