2018 Wildcat models

I am just going to jump right in and see if you guys can clear something up for me. Was there a base model wildcat in 2018? Or did they only offer the x and x ltd? I searched around online, and didn't really find anything definitive on whether they discontinued the base model. Only that they were still producing the x and ltd still. There are no decals on the rig I am looking at. The owner doesn't know if iits an x or a base model. Thank you in advance.

X, X LTD, 2 & 4 seaters. Should be some type of X, take a look at the clutch cover. Should be aluminum color, and say Team on it.
Thanks for the reply. It does have a Team clutch. I wasn't sure if they used them on base models in later years. So I started trying to research it and there isn't much in the way of discussion on them.

There’s plenty of information on them? There’s a whole sub-section just for the X model.

I saw plenty on the 2013.5 change and the different shocks used on different trims and case reinforcements. Just never saw anything about them dropping the base model or in which year. Google searches didn't turn up much. I looked through all 400+ search results for 2018 on here. I hadn't gotten around to checking previous years yet to see what changes took place. Thank you for getting back with me.

There really wasn’t a base model. The Wildcat 1000 came out in 12, and 13. The Wildcat X came out in 13.5. I don’t know if anybody has ever considered the 1000 a base model, possibly?
I have a 2014 base model, non-X, with a 2018 rear end update. It was built end of 2013, so a 2013.5 really.

You can usually check out current and older models on Arctic Cat's home page.
