2020 XX Clutch won’t disengage under 5 mph-Why?

347 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  DGruper
My ‘20 XX has been pretty damned reliable through everything I’ve thrown at it. But now when slowing to a stop, the clutch isn’t disengaging at 5 mph like it’s supposed to. As a result, it’s like stopping a manual shift car with it in gear and the engine is bogged to a stop. Then it isn’t always easy to get it back into neutral because the trans is loaded up.
What would cause the clutch to not let go? Is it worn parts in the primary, secondary, or both?
Appreciate your input. Thanks!

Had the same problem. Worn out primary.
Remove the cover, blow out all the dust with compressed air and take a look at the primary
May be time to step up to the new primary.
How often do you blow it out and clean it?
How many miles?

I blow it out after every other ride, so maybe a couple hundred miles.
But those are Glamis miles….so its getting worked and that sand gets everywhere!
