In the process of installing a full signal light kit on my 14X, I removed all four corner light assemblies. While removing the wiring plug from the left rear light, I noticed the electrical tape was burned/cooked off of the wires directly above the muffler. The wires themselves were good so during reinstall I wrapped the wires with insulation similar to that used to protect ignition wires around tube headers. So, if you've had your EZ Ryde on for a while, you should look over that section of the wire harness. If it's a recent install you can get a jump on it. I'm sorry I didn't take any pics to post with this.

Thanks for the heads up.
My wires look ok. Nothing melting.
Is the stock heat shield still on your machine? Is it possible the pre closed loop fuel system machines
Can't adjust for the more open exhaust and run hotter? Just a thought.
