So my water pump impeller finally let go, 27 miles from camp but at least I was with a group, on flat land and close to a paved road on the last day of the trip. Could of been in a lot worse place or on day 1.
The car overheated and shut off so I figured the water pump let go and I confirmed that today after pulling it from the car. A new Speed kit is ordered.
Is it normal to loose most of the coolant when this happens? I'm unable to find were the coolant came from but when I got stopped to take a look coolant was running out. Were might it have come out? The car started after cooling off and I was able to pull it into the trailer without issue and didn't see any smoke from the exhaust.
