Hello Kent,

I don't want to hi jack your thread but I broke mine yesterday as well. I need help myself and was about to post in the same issue but then saw yours, someone with more knowledge will chime in but if it helps here is what I think. I was looking at it today and it looks like we will have to take off all the suspension parts off the wild cat so that we can get the axels off, Once the axles are off we have to remove the plate on the very back under the differential, once that remove the differential should be able to slide back so that the shaft can be remove. The one part that throws me off is that there is some kind of seal on the drive shaft, can someone tells us if that part is reusable or should we order new ones. Hope this helps some but like I said, someone with more knowledge will chime in. This is a great forum one some one will always help.
And about the part Babbitsonline.com has the part for about $90 with out the seals. I added a a picture on what looks like the seal that I was asking about

Just had mine out to grease the splines and weld sld. Lower link has to come off machine side to remove plate. Those seals are reusable as are the clamps if you use your pliers correctly. I had it all apart since I was putting on new radius rods and welding sld.

Patrick can explain this better than I can but

To just replace shaft I don't even think you need axles out. Only the lower links unbolted to remove that plate. I think there is room then.

Thanks WildX, I was looking at it and by the way it looked I didn't think I had enough room to pull the differential back with the axels still on, thats good and it will same me a lot of work since taking off the castle nut on the axle is a PITA. I am going to try it. Thanks!!!!

If you need too remove axles but don't wanna take castle nut off. Unhook the 3 radius rods then unhook shock. Lift axle, hub, and trailing arms up till axle is level. You can then push in and pull on cup to remove axle from diff. Saves on castle nut/hub dissembly

Castle nut is easy though take tire off. Remove retainer plate. Put tire on with no plate and hubcap out of wheel. Set back down so tire is holding up. Go in through hubcap hole and 1/2 mac or snap on impact zips it right off.

No need to pull the axles. Just the lower links at the frame and the rear upper links at the frame, then the two through bolts that hold the rear diff in and the plate that the lower links attach to and the diff will slide back enough to get the drive shaft out.

Drive shaft is less expensive from forum vendor MLS powersports.

I've always just slid the clamps off the boots and slowly worked them back on

So you guys that are breaking driveshafts, do you have SLD deletes or are you running the stock set-up?

Cat21 I am currently on the stock set up, I don't know if I want or need the SLD delete since my Wildcat is fully stock other than tires and exhaust and I am not really a hard core driver. I haven't notice any slip as of now so I am going to leave in there till I have issues.

I just got off the phone with MLS Motorsports and bought the drive shaft, I glad they reminded me of them. They had the lowest price and the person I talked on the phone said that it will be ship today via UPS ground and should receive it in 3 days, this was my first time ordering from them and they will have my business now. They have great customer service..........Thanks MLS PowerSports!!!!!!

yea i ordered mine on line sunday later after the post from MLS , just spent like 5 thousand on this thing i did the 6 by 6 inch lift from superlift 30 inch tires clutch upgrade sld delete yoshimura full length exhaust the 12 mm wheel studs. if anyone on here can tell me what should i do next that would be great and why no one makes any drive line upgrades, all this stuff from everything i have read and experienced is pretty crappy i do notice that i break a lot less than the say, about 10 guys all razors i ride with, but still way to often.i ride real easy and also this past weekend i drove a pretty new razor 1000 and compared to mine it is so smooth like on a cloud and mine is like riding a wagon so bumpy and harsh, but is better when going fast just not as good as the razor . dont mean to bitch but man i am starting to get annoyed. is there a better way ???
