Not sure if this is the same clutch they put in the XX but I continue to research to see.

Going through Country Cat's site, I found this. Comparing the machine I have vs what's available now.

model / primary / secondary / belt
2018 XX standard / 0823-669 / 0823-662 / 0823-529
2022 XX standard / 0823-690 / 0823-662 / 0823-529
2022 XX limited / 0746-948 / 0726-446 / 0823-529

Looks like swapping old to new shouldn't be an issue. And the new primary is a couple hundred dollars cheaper than the old style.

What’s wrong with the Team clutch that makes someone switch to the Adapt Clutch? Also what’s better about the Adapt Clutch vs the Team clutch?

The 2022 XX base trim still comes with the Team clutch, and only the LTD and SE trims get the Adapt Clutch. So the Team can’t be that bad if they still offer it?

Read the Adapt was originally developed for the snow sleds, and was incorporated into the UTV line up.

There have been countless primary failures with the XX and sleds. I was lucky and mine just spit the pucks on the moveable sheeve... most crack the sheeves and or grenade! There was a thread on here awhile back about it.

I see the secondary has a different part number, I wonder is it possible to run the new primary with the old secondary?

I was wrong, you dont have to change the secondary on your rig.. theyre saying you should change the cover/plastic shroud that protects the clutches and belt.. the 2023 one is narrower and the adapt clutch doesnt have the cooling fan like the team clutch has..
