Hello! I'm new to the forums. My situation is such that I need an atv to my life. There are two options that I feel are good for me and our family. One is a Wildcat X limited from 2018 that has only been driven less than 500 miles. The other option is a new Segway Villain SX10 X.

The Villain costs double the money wildcat does, BUT there is the added bonus that it can be registered to road use and has a warranty. Wildcat can't be registered here in Finland. But the downside is, that when registered, the speed is limited permanently to 60km/h (37mph). The WC I xould enjoy at full speed but would have to move around with a trailer that I don't have, which adds another 3000€ to the equation.

Soo I guess I'm asking has any one of you driven with both so you could give me a realistic comparion of the two? There doesn't seem to be much info about Segway online. Only youtube reviews that I don't find all too reliable.

Good luck! I've never even heard of the Segway until your post.

Welcome Heering80. Isn’t the Segway electric?

Only advice I can offer is take everything into account. New vs old. Reviews of each. Parts availability. Dealerships / qualified mechanics to work on them. Insurance prices.

I wood pick the wildcat if you plan on running it a little harder, modifying it, and doing all the work on it.

I wood pick the Segway if you plan on running a little ezer and mostly keeping it stock. Out the box it has better seats and seat belts, a hand break, the inter is more up to date, the electronics is as good if not better then what you can get on a Polaris that cost 10k+ more.

I have road with a lot of wildcat x's in slow mtn riding stock and modified and they both performed good. I have only seen 2 Segways on the trails and talked to them both and they loved them and only had good stuff to stay about them.

These SxS's are so niche market here in Finland that it might turn out impossible to find a decent dealer / service mechanic. Polaris and CanAm are maybe best represented. But their sellers too are totally unaware of anything more than what the import organization has given them (which seems to be very narrow take to what you in the big world see).

Good to hear at least something!

I have only driven with Segway so far. One question I was wondering is if the inside noise is similar between these two. The Segway was loud as hell. It was with full doors and a windshield, and I wondered if it amplifies the sound or mutes it down..?

...yeah here in austria tractor reg. too ;-) - thats why we have to use only 1 plate rear (stup. germans gotta have 2 front/rear)-

for me also important only wanto drive american made things - as my cars ;-)

btw the 2016 model is OK- not the best/newest but OK-

always mantain it good - always best oil evry year - look for airfilter , belt etc.

the x-motor has a very high compression which sometimes stalled back and killed the starter-

so its important you do the valves first- awful but important job ;-)

I have the wildcat x, windshield backglass roof pretty loud on the road at speed belt whine in cab. But on trails or lower speeds its fine 4800 miles no problems change oil every year and diff lube, easy to work on if your fairly mechanically inclined. Seen some things on Segway they are interesting for sure . I would get the cat,but I have cat snowmobiles also so I'm pry alittle biased.
