Would love to but I’m on call for work. We will prolly hit Wayne last weekend in June. Btw. Ranger stopped me and measured width Memorial Day weekend at Wayne. I need to pre load springs more. I’m at 55”. He gave me a verbal warning lol

I don't think I'll be able to get Wayne this weekend but will most likely go to Perry for a day ride.

The rangers are usually more active didn't holidays because they like to catch people drinking.

Where did he stop you at to check width? Do you remember his name or if he was a taller fat guy lol

Isn't it ridiculous that even though you have a 50" class machine (w/o modifications) and they were still having a problem with it. You shouldn't have gotten even a warning. This is what I was debating with the ranger when I got my written warning. I finally got him to admit that the width restrictions were only meant to keep out jeeps and other vehicles that aren't true apv like atv's and sxs. The number is just arbitrary. He tried telling me that a 60" machine does more damage to the trails and then I explaned to him that my sport is identical to my brother's trail sitting next to it except for the wider suspension. He actually started measuring it because he didn't believe me.

So I said the rules need to be revised because sxs have become so much more popular. The restrictions need to be in place based on vehicle classification not features. It isn't like they have to go and cut a ton of trees down to accommodate the bigger machines because the trails are already no problem for even 64" machines except for the purposely placed boulders and gate posts.

yeh my only mods to make it wider are tires and spacers. Yeh I agree, up to 64" should be allowed. There is no way a wider sxs damages the trails any more than a 50" does.

I bought the Trail specifically so I could ride the trail system at WNF.

I did a bunch of research before buying to find out where and how often I could use a SxS if I bought one. ;)

You all live a fair distance from me. I live in the southern central part of the state and ride WNF down here quite often. I will have to meet up with you all some time later this year.

I'll be at wnf a few more times this year, I'll give a shout on here when i do.

I decided to just head to mines and Meadows tomorrow with my son. It's the closest decent riding area to me and with the rain coming in the afternoon i don't want to drive to far. It's only like 1.25 hrs away.
