Hi guys, so I have finally got my trail out for some local rides recently. Great fun in the snow and impressive in the mud. I’m looking for some fender flares. I would like some of the stock flares, however I’m in Canada and they’re just under $600 +tax. Ain’t gonna happen. I can order the vip air flares for $250, but I prefer the cat ones. Just wondering if there’s anyone with some stock flares sitting on the shelf they wouldn’t mind selling at a reasonable price. Pm me if you can help me out. Thanks fellas

I bought the Vipairs and really like them.

Tried to buy the Mudbusters, but they refused to ship them to Crossborder Pickups to get them to Canada because (and I quote) "that could mean I'm shipping them to China to have them copied". So, told them to stick them up their ass.

Thanks, I’ll probably end up going with the vip airs as well. I had the same experience with the mud busters and trying to order the oem from the states. Didn’t ship to Canada..

Country Cat will ship you anything you need OEM parts and accessories wise.
They’re no cheaper than oem in Canada with currency exchange and duty/taxes. Rocky Mountain was cheaper, but says they can’t ship the fender flares to Canada. For the price I’ll just get the vip air.

If you're handy... Make your own. I have a lot better coverage and didn't cost me as much. I used old conveyor belt, but you could use kydex or ABS. Those mould and bend with a heat gun.

If I wanted to take a go at making my own, what thickness of hdpe is the go to? 1/8” or thicker? I don’t want floppy flares, but I don’t want them weighing down the fenders either.

Made mine with 1/8 UHMW. Cuts good, forms with heat. Then you can get good coverage. We can ride wet / muddy conditions and virtually no mud in cab or cargo. Size them to extend past front and rear tires a bit and it works damn good.

Same kind of coverage, kicks the heck out of the after market options.. I bought the vipair, then added UHMW cause they didn't really do shite for me, too short too narrow.

I made mine out of leftover conveyor belt, but I know some have used mud flaps too. I didn't want anything hard that I would have to fix/ replace when I bumped it things. I ride some tight trails so I wanted the flexibility. These can bend and move without me having to worry about ripping off the whole fender. I probably should have made them a little bigger, but these are a huge improvement over stock.

Basically conveyor belt heated with a heat gun and bent with welding pliers and a vise, then some support brackets that don't stick out past 3/4 of the tire and you're good.
