The problem began with difficulty shifting the gear selector to H,L or R. While driving in the dunes and powering out of a turn I heard a clunk and lost Drive, actually thought I blew a belt, but no. Got a tow back to camp and here’s were I’m at with diagnosis. The car will start and idle but as soon as I move the gear selector to H or R it lurches and stalls. I pulled the belt to isolate it and once I did it went in to H and L to problem as I figured it would. So I’m thinking it’s a clutch issue. I’m running a dalton kit with no weights. I’ve read about the problems with the spider on these 13.5’s but I can’t see any breakage, I’m not able to remove it till I get home later this week. What should I be looking at?
