What is a good cross-reference to the oil filter?
I ask because from the Alachua Fl. dealership to Valdosta GA is 2 hours.
Mobil 1 makes the 0-40w oil that's required for the oil change.

Rotella makes a T-6 it is a syntehtic and is in almost everything I own now.
Was tired of this and that oil for everything.
It's a 5-40 synthetic and I am really liking it, Cold has not been a issue with it and I live in Alaska.
Wheelers, diesel & gas truck are all running the Rotella T-6

I have not run the synthetic but the conventional has worked well for me. I am in GA so it is usually not overly cold. The wheelers have been outside while camping in low 30's to high 20's and started just fine in the morning. I have noticed much better/smoother shifting in both the bike and the wheelers. The ATV's are both manuals.

thanks for the info guys that"s the same filter (fram ph6018) i use on my 700 king quad. and Ive been running a Rotella blend of 15-40 and 5-40 synthetic in that. I might just use the rotella 5-40 (t6 i think), if it seems like a good choice. I'd hate to have problems because of using the wrong oil.

I'm confused with this list. Everywhere I look it says to use a K&N 621 but this list says 138.

Since this thread is old as dirt, Banning never saw this question. The K&N 138 is the same size as the stock, AC filter, but the K&N 621 is a longer version. That's what I use, it filters a little more oil.

Are there cross reference filters good for the Trail models as well? I tried looking up the oil filter number on K&N's web site and it shows that they have no parts available for the Trail models.
