is there anyway to change the rear end gears on a utv. Like a car would have a 350 rear gear and you put a 411 in. It gives you a low gear ratio for faster take off. I heard a wildcat has a high rear end gear.

Yes you can

The guys over on high lifter forum are doing it all the time.

The machine is a animal in LOW.

Get airdam's machine work and you can get Low range to haul the mail!

Adam is the first place i'm going when i get mine. I head straight down there i might not even go home first. I race threw woods in the king of the mountain and at windrock wide open its like a motorcross track. I don't need to go 100+. I need quick short burst.

Arctic Cat makes 4:1 found in the 650 carbed machines and a 3.6:1 in the 700 efi's and the 1000's got the 3.0:1

I will go double check the Mud Pro 1000 gears. I would imagine those would be the best as the 650 and 700's spin the opposite direction you have to flop the front diff I belive.
That is what I had to do when I converted my old 650prowler to 1000H2 engine and diff's.

Looks like the 1000 mudpro is 3:1

Adam does alot with the Mud Bogg guy's. He would have some insight or give you name of someone who would know.

The wildcat seems to have bigger axles than the Prowler did. I broke 3 Prowler axle shafts. Not even in the carriage, but on the shaft itself. The wildcat axles appear to be more beefy though.......
