I don't think I would have shared those pics until after I had completed the purchase!

That's a lot of gear for $17k USD. If it is $17k Australian that is a stunning deal (exchange rate is 1:1.46 at the moment).
Thanx..its 25k for everything in Australian dollars including the car...yea its pretty nuts, the reason for sharing was to get opinions on whats usable , what will stay in boxes never to be used etc etc,Im a "what will be will be" person, the cons outweigh the pros at the moment, its not a deal to be sniffed at, BUT one big issue im having is although my car has CAMS log book and all the stuff that makes it legal to race...it cannot race as its a modified SXS and there is no class in the OFFROAD RACING section of Australia racing, I can only enter as an Invitational rider, and no points awarded or trophys given, not a problem as im a complete noob anyway, ive a lot to learn and im racing against seasoned very well raced folks who have been doing this for many many years, they all know the tracks extremely well , so this deal falls into that "cannot race" even though it also has all the required docs to make it race ready, its also modified with the Z1 motor, it can race in the "Rally" section of CAMS but im intersted in the OFF ROAD side of the sport..so there is a way to do it but requires an application with Cams technical and they will look at the car what its made up from and invent a class for it when they have decide on what to do..could take months if not years to get that listing,,it may happen as there are guys now fitting turbos to stock aspirated cars and will fall into same hole I am in until CAMS sets up this class,my car is a bit of a door stop at the moment with these rules,so can only join local clubs who run very small events now and then, still loads of fun either way,so to have 2 lemons hanging about in place of the one I already have is my dilemma, all those parts taking up space and money not being used in the chance a part being needed sort of puts me on hold as apposed to break a part spend a little get that fitted and move on like normal people would do...

I understand your line of reasoning, but my goodness, that's a tempting, juicy lemon.

If the spares were in the States and I had not just bought a turbo for our X, I would be tempted to make an offer on the spare Z1, transaxle & clutches that would help make it a winning proposition for you.

Maybe that is the approach you need to take? Find someone in Australia with a 1000 or X that wants to build a Pace Z1 copy.

So quick update...I have a buddy who has been racing in this scene forever..he has a friend who doesnt race anymore and has a top spec cams ready to race in any event Polaris....there is 80grand in this buggy, Ready to race....after looking at the car...makes my car look like it was built by kindergarten kids, so may just keep my wildcat for playing and the Polaris for racing, I will never be competitive at the level these guys are at, im in the "taking part" and having fun stage, so taking my friend years of advice and knowledge and going for reliability and try complete the events instead of the constant issues ive had with my wildcat..dont get me wrong ..my wildcat is a great car, just needs setting up for my chosen race surface and its not at the moment so tough to handle
