Recently bought a 2013.5 wildcat 4. Trying to fix all the half ass repairs the previous owner did. At times when taking off I get some hesitation and clicking from rear end and when first backing out of garage it doesn’t like going in reverse. It has already broken one belt and I was wondering if a clutch upgrade could help. I’ve looked at the Dalton upgrade kit but it’s made for the 2 seater have you guys had any luck using it on your 4 seaters?

Welcome buddyleewv. Eliminate the easiest stuff first. Since it's a 13.5, it's definitely due (no matter what the former owner did), a total fluid change out. Oil, coolant, front and rear diffs. Check the rear diff fluid carefully for any metal pieces, or ball bearings.

Breaking belts is usually on the driver, unless there is clutch issues, as being out of alignment. I'm surprised Dalton doesn't have a 4 seater set-up? I would give them a call. Make sure your shift linkage is tight, and working correctly.

Thanks for the advice. Is there a post here that covers all the recommendations on fluids
Try a search. Realize though, everybody has their favorite oil, diff fluid, coolant, etc. The rear diff is the biggest concern because it "needs" yearly maintenance IMO. Even then, it's still prone to failure and grenading. That's why I said, check your fluid carefully when you drain it.

I looked at that Dalton Kit pretty hard myself and even contacted the company. They returned my email with a little bit of attitude, sounding as if they have answered that question a million times if it works with a 4/4X. (I'm sure they have) They stressed they only tested it on the 2 seater versions, which I wouldn't think would be too smart if you'd like to sell more kits. Anyway, I decided to go with the Speedwerx Kit instead, just in care there were any issues. Good luck!
