Still a solid buggy, the battery is at least 5 years old. I want to invest in the best battery, is that the Oddysey or Deka?

Some like Odyssey, some like Deka. This is a Ford / Chevy type question. Both are good batteries, pick one.

Hollywood is right, any good quality battery will serve you well, as long as you take care of it. I have a battery tender that I hook-up to ours any time it's not being rode. I have a 2014 Trail and I'm still running on the original battery. I like Deka batteries, but an Odyssey battery is top quality too. It's all personal preference.

Both the OEM & DEKA 2nd battery finally gave out on the 12, cheap things should have went 10 yrs and not 9.. (summers are 105*/ winters are -40*)

The Duralast in the 2014 4x was dated 7/16, I replaced it with another. AutoZone offers veteran's discount, $135 out the door. The old battery read 10v.
