This happened to me the first trip on took it on Veterans Day in Nov. About 4 hours on the car. I know there were inner boot issues but never heard anything about issues with the outers. Luckily for me the shaft stayed inside the swing arm and I was able to drive it back to camp (15 miles) like that. The shaft machined itself on the inside of the swing arm. Sucked for the weekend but dealer took care of me and replaced the axle with a Gen 2 and the swing arm and had the car back before Thanksgiving. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this? Dealer couldn’t give me an explanation as to how/why it happened. Maybe axle plunge was not set properly or axle but not torqued? No problems since then.

Possibly related to incorrect trailing are adjustment, incorrectly assembled axle(star/cage/missing cir-clip) or your drive train moving side to side with stock engine and trans mounts.
