Hey I have a sld that started popping a little, so I read to either get the delete gear or weld the clutch disc up. I felt like mine was possibly slipping in the drum so I welded it up and then to the drum so it’s all one piece now. Has anyone else tried this. Might be a little extra but I don’t think it could hurt

Cool, thanks for the reply. I drove it around and it seems good. Feels like it’s hooking up stronger for sure off the line. I just couldn’t wrap my head around the whole clutches thing and thought why not just make it all one piece and I don’t have to worry about it jumping the spines in the drum. Maybe this will help others

- think theres a lot posts bout that- many guys did it- BUT - theres a reason for the sld bein there !- it takes the stress from the diff- so as much as it dont slip you gotta deal with the consequences- maybe ;-)
