I had that same idea for my 13 limited with stock wet clutch reclocked and 2 weights removed. Ran the CVT fan and saw 20* higher temps at the CVT exhaust duct than with a stock belt. I bought 2 of the non carbon belts and shreaded them both in less than 25 miles each. Went back to stock. Also wondered if the carbon belt would have done better. If you are really going to try the Gates belts try one of each and let us know how they do. All my belts are washed in the dish washer prior to install to remove the mold release agent on them.
Now running stock belt with the blue clutch mod. Is it more difficult to change a belt on the team clutch vs wet clutch? Good luck
