Whats going on everybody? I'm sure it has been asked and talked about a thousand times but im going to ask it again. I need help with finding new a few things. From most important to least:
-new tie rod ends or full tie bars and ends
-brakes, pads and possibly rotters
-barrings and ball joints
-rims and tires, 30in tires, 15in rims, I need help with the difference between the front and the back. I will most likely be purchasing from Discount tire
-simple power increases, i.e. air intake system, etc.

Anything else yall think I should do from a maintenance point of view, diff fluids, brake fluids, suspension pointers. I know everyone has learned something valuable over a period of time. I would love to hear what everyone has to say. Thank yall and im looking forward to hearing from yall. Land vehicle All-terrain vehicle Vehicle Off-road vehicle Automotive tire

Kryptic for tie rods

Not sure on brake components

I know some people use Teryx bearings over OEM. I believe the part number is 92045-0800

Tires all depends on what type of riding you do.

Proper clutching will give you the one of the best "power" increases by improving the stock setup. Recommend Dalton

Proper maintenance is vitally important. Follow the owners book. How many miles do you have? How many since last service of oil/dif/etc? Suspension tuning is subjective too. Keep adjusting and testing until you find what is most comfortable to you.

Regarding tie rods ... I've bent and had friends bend several of them. They only need to be a little bit stronger (they always bend in the middle). So, for a cheap easy $2 fix I slide a 3/4" piece of conduit over it to add just a little more strength. (wrap a little duck tape around the rod to make the conduit fit snug).

This has worked for 4 years... no more bent rods while banging thru the rocks. (still carry a couple of spares in case a ball joint gets snapped off or a friend needs one):ugh:

Wow, that's genius! What was the length you decided to go with on the conduit? Looks like maybe 12 inches or so in the picture? Any reason you didn't go longer?

I also, made a set that was full length ... maybe to better take a hit from a tall rock ... but didn't seem necessary.

Here's the day Black Cat left his spare tie rods at the truck... I had to give him one of mine ... LOL.:Eyecrazy:
Every one I've seen bent looks just like this:

Awesome pic! Thanks for the advice, I have bent them on the edge right by the ball joint. Only because I large branch came up at that angle. You can see it in one of my youtube clips. I think I will try that out and let you know how it works. Im looking at buying a set of American Star 4130 Chromoly Racing UTV Tie Rod Ends, have you heard anything about these?

I have a dalton clutch kit and some tires I have my eye on I am just concerned about the width difference between the rear and the front. The rims I found only come in 7in wide. I think I will loose a lot of traction if I go that thin.

DO NOT buy aftermarket ball joints. They are made by one company and rebranded under many names. They are junk. Stick with OEM ball joints. MLS Powersports a vendor on the forum has great prices.

EBC seems to have good brake pads.

Can't remember who I bought my rotors from. Don't see them in the vendor section anymore. People seem happy with Laser Larry. Maybe someone came pm you his info as he is not a vendor here

I'm thinking harnesses would be a good investment.

All that day I had been making jokes about Jeeps being a plug in the trail, then I became one myself. You don't think there is much traffic on the trail until you become the bottle neck.

Since that pic I carry a spare set of rods and an u/l radius arm even thou all has been upgraded. Thanks again to the "Rock" the day was saved (he's good at doing that)

Thanks again to everyone for the info. I went with OEM ball joins, American Star heavy duty tie rods, delrin bushing, and I still havent decided on the harnesses yet. I really need to sit in a machine that has them so I can better make my decision. Finally I did kanati mongrels with some black rims in the back and left the stock rims and 2.0 bighorns on the front with the idea that they help me grip better on the turns!!! lol

I have been running Kanati Mongrels for a year and a half on my Wildcat X. They have been a very good tire for the harsh deserts in AZ and UT. If you are using four wheel drive make sure your front and rear tires measure close to the same overal dimension as it can mess up your differentials if not.

Personally I like the traction of the Kanati tires over the stock for traction.

Sweet pic, I dont use four wheel to often. The trails I have been on as of late are not to crazy. The rim sizes are the same as stock. The only difference is the rear tires are a bit thinner now compared to the stock 2.0s I took off. I already did some serious damage to the 10 play mongrels. The tire has a huge BULGE lol. I didnt think the tire would suffer from such damage so quickly. I know I hit a rock on the side wall but didnt think it was that bad. Oh well, have to buy another.

Thanks for the props on the photo. The 10 ply rated Kanato Mongrel tires have been doing great. I tend to be hard on tires but these have held up very good in tough desert conditions.

natantheone, sorry you had an issue with a sidewall. Sometimes it is unavoidable. I also busted a sidewall early on when I was running at low pressure and racing a friend of mine. I hit a rock I did not see going 30 to 40. Not the tires fault by any means. Since then hundreds of trouble free miles.

Here is a review I posted:

Just ordered Pro Armour 3x3 with pads and a factory UTV harness bar. Does anyone else have this set up?
