I haven't read the directions yet... but did read a few posts here... the stock bushing has a big washer or seal that kind of pushes over the a-arm.... with my new Garage Products bushings they are thicker and do not need this washer/seal. Correct? Basically eliminating number 8 on the parts diagram.

Been along time since I put mine in, if my memory is correct no washer.

Is the GP spacer (the part that goes inside the bushing) stainless steel, or something else that won't rust or corrode? My honest reaction to this information about leaving the washer with the seal out, is that the GP kit would be a "hard pass" for me. A pressure washer is going to force water in there.

Correct. The GP bushings have an O ring built in to the bushing for the seal.
