It is impossible to mount the 89050 warn winch mount and leave the bumper on an X. So either modify the bumper or modify the winch mount. I went with modifying the bumper and bumper mounting bracket.

Instead of welding tabs on the frame for the upper tabs on the bumper, I used the factory bracket. Shown here already cut for relocation.

Auto part


A little grinding and a drilled hole with a slot removed for easy adjustment. These tabs will fit perfect on the bolt holding the upper A-arm.



Hard to see in picture but this is the tab mounted and bumper in place.

Hardest part of this job was cutting up a brand new bumper.

I plan to get two end caps from AC, but for now I just used one inch thick rubber had laying in the shop and cut them to fit in ends.

Finished bumper looks good to me but some might not want to do this.

Picked mine up from Copperstate Cat today. Not much time to drive it, but drifting through the neighborhood was a blast. Best part is that the wife loves it. Now for that toy hauler purchase this week......

1st good ride over 85km ...
We still have lots of snow in Manitoba, so only a few trails able to ride!!!
Top speed 82 mph on gps in 4 wheel drive soft wet gravel road!!!
Was very impressed compared to my 2012!!!
