Won't engage starter

2012 Wildcat 1000 started just fine a month ago. Now, battery was stone dead, won't charge, so I jump it with a vehicle to see if it's my battery. Everything works while jumping (lights, aftermarket electric clutch fan, etc.) but all I hear is a click-click-click out of the solenoid in front of the battery and starter won't engage. So I'm thinking new battery and solenoid relay? Your thoughts?
