Whats everybodys thoughts on Installing a hood scope on roof of trail to keep the dust out like the XX has
I think it is the speedworks roof for the xx

If you have room, you could use a molded NACA duct with a 3" outlet tube(s). I believe you could adapt a Misubishi Eclipse dash vent to the outlet and be able to direct the air or even shut it off.

Pro: NACA ducts fit flush to the outside panel, so there is nothing for a branch to clobber.
Con: you need room under the roof for their depth (~4 to 4 1/2").

Google "naca duct for racing" and you'll get several hits.

More pros and cons:
Pro: they are easily taped-over since nothing sticks out beyond the roof
Con: location is slightly more critical. If there isn't good airflow right down on the roof, a NACA duct isn't going to work very well. For example, I would avoid installing one close to the leading edge of the roof. If that is where the scoop needs to go, something on top of the roof and tall enough to catch air that washes up the windshield would probably work better.
