Todays automotive electronics require a stable flow of current to all components. More ground wires will normally not harm current flow and may help rusted or corroded connections. If in doubt add a ground wire.
Ground goes from negative terminal to a stud on the front of the engine. I just did an engine swap, and do not remember any other factory grounding. That said, I added a ground buss bar in the front of the car for accessories.
Just looking for this one now. I though I left the bolt loose when I removed the engine and can see where the engine side ground goes now. Anyone know for sure or have a pic?
