Bulloch wins by almost 18 minutes! Say what you want about the Wildcat XX, when it can win this race in stock form with just shock tunning, people need to pay attention!

Congratulations to Ray Bullock!

Yep, RG does not know anything about driving off-road. LMAO!!! They ran a smart race and minimal issues, which shows the prep work they did on the car paid off. The Wildcat XX is a great platform to build off of and will win many desert races. They still need a turbo version of the car.

The top turbo car finished more than a hour a head on corrected time.

He was not racing as far as I know. I don’t think he has raced his truck in a BITD event in a few years. I know he has done some of the driver duties for Potts Racing at the Mint.

I think you are not seeing the big picture. Without RG, his design input and marketing by savvy the Wildcat XX would not exist. Every aspect of the design is all based of his years of off-road racing. He is the reason that people are so interested in the Wildcat XX.

Bulloch winning was a great accomplishment and again a testament to how well he drives and how well the car is set up and prepped. He plucked off a lot of the field.

All this still does not take away from the fact Texteon needs to put a turbo in the Wildcat XX and offer a 72” wide model from the factory. That is where the sport SXS market is at.

I have seen the Wildcar XX in person and rode with one for 380 miles in Baja. It is a really nice car that needs suspension work (shock work) if you are a mildly aggressive driver.

Is that a V2R tech/contingency photo?
I was wondering if he was still running the 64" wide suspension. Sure looks that way. If so another feather in their cap.

I know the turbo cars are way faster as they should be. I know Logan Gastel hit 94 on the GPS at the Silver State. I am sure he got up there again on this course- super fast course. No surprise Blurton was over an hr ahead...but then Bullochs had to go through a lot more cars. Blurton and Logan are killing it right now in BITD.
Unfortunately for Logan, they ad a fuel issue while running third and lost 3 hrs at RM 429.

I watched most of the race on the computer helping my buds chasing for Logan. Carver had it until like RM 500. Not sure what happened to him.

Since all the factories seem to be only interested in the turbo class, Textron will have to step up. They will. Just getting the car sorted out. Pretty good job in only 6 months. are no

Stock suspension (shocks and springs reworked), motor and cage.
From UTV Underground:

Starting dead last, racing veteran Ray Bulloch would pilot his Textron Wildcat XX through the field and put at times up to 30 minutes on the next fastest N/A class racer. While Corry Weller in her Weller Racing Yamaha YXZ 1000R and Seth Quintero in his Polaris RZR XP1000 worked feverishly to chase down the checked out Bulloch, it wouldn’t be enough by the time they reached the finish in Beatty, NV. Bulloch would finish over 17 minutes ahead of the next fastest N/A and give Textron their first ever Pro UTV desert racing win. Making it more impressive was that Bulloch claimed at the finish that the machine competed with a stock suspension, motor and cage. Minus the required safety upgrades to make it legal to compete, this machine completed the 530 mile course in spectacular fashion and made a statement about the durability and performance quality of this new platform.

Read up on what happened to Carver. He had this thing in the bag until he came up on a 10 car and tried to get around. I was watching the tracker right then when Blurton passed him. He got going pretty quick so I figured it was a flat. I had the leaderboard up because I knew it would be REALLY close- ended up being 1:27 difference only.
That's why I post up where the golf carts finish amongst the 10's. Pretty impressive...for a golf cart.

Carver’s impatience cost him the race. He was cruising to a victory.

Not sure he was "cruising" - he knew Blurton was coming and he got impatient. Up to his crew and co-dawg to calm him down with time gaps at that point. That being said, it is difficult with tracker delays. That is what I was doing for Logan. Keeping times on the computer for his chase guys since I stayed home. I saw Blurton coming through the pack. I kept texting them- Blurton is coming !

I am sure Bullochs crew kept him up on Seth Quintero- he was closing the gap but they still won by 17 min. I am sure he slowed some at the end.
Corry Weller got close at one point until she had an issue.

This was a pretty exciting race in terms of the UTV classes, lots going on.

It has been fun reading all the race reports and such to figure out what went on out there.

Pretty impressive win for Ray and the XX...I think they are proving that this machine will be a competitive platform for sure, also impressive that he did it on the 64" wide suspension and resisted putting an LT style kit on it...not sure i could have fought that temptation haha!

I hear what you are saying about the 64", but with the suspension dialed in, I think we will be seeing more wins.
