...what a BS ! :k- ()Let's be real the talon is the nail in the coffin for the XX
I edited your post. Maybe he is, but I don't want to see name calling......Comes on here about every six to eight months and runs the XX down. IQ of 11.
Great point, now can you give me the cost break down to get an X3 to be safely driven without the fear of getting crushed with the paper thin frame or having to beef up the front end before even taking it out on a ride? Im serious lol. Heck I might as well ask what it will take for the XX to be upgraded before its safe to take out.Lets see...Talon.
24K OTD (for the decent one)
$800 for 30's (or 32's)
$1200 for a gear swap
$800 for springs (depending on the valving...maybe another $800)
$1200 for a real cage
$200 for lower doors
Thats 28.2 K and you might be able to keep up with my 20k XX over the 2 ft whoops.
Looks like a nice start though.
I think the Honda Talon R will keep up with the XX in 2’ whoops. Neither is going threw them comfortably at more than 55 with stock suspension. Sure a driver can have the balls to pin it, but you will be beating the snot out of the car to do it.Lets see...Talon.

I looked again and stand corrected. my bad.The Talons do not have full door.

Both use the QS3 Fox shock? The Wildcat XX needs more than springs to make it better, it needs valving too if you want to drive it aggressively. The blown out skid plates on the XX that was on the baja ride I did last summer is a perfect example.Totally disagree.
Watch driver movements at the same speed over whoops in each car.
Talon will beat the driver up...yeah it may track through it...but at what comfort level.
XX needs some adjustments... Springs would definitely help no doubt for bump stage. (I will be getting them when mine sag more). Thats only $600 total and you have a great suspension IMO.
Yeah I am not sure why they would go to a 28" on a 15" wheel. 30" tires stock would of been nice. The Talon may pull 30's or 32's...but how is it going to react? I am sure Honda has put a lot of effort into making the gearing, motor, tune all work together...and the trac control.
Easy to say it will "pull" them...in every situation?
It definitely needs at least 29's.
That will be a SPENDY repair if you blow one of those...actually- it will be a replace since I doubt anyone will be rebuilding those for some time.I am watching as I want to see how the DCT holds up once the public gets a hold of it.
I'm sure your review will be completely unbiased...Yea I will let you know which machine is superior very soon as I had a xx and now will have the Talon and will give my opinion on both machines after i have had enough seat time in the Talon R
