I spent the money with Shock Therapy to get the upgraded springs all around and limit straps. Now it handles 3' whoops and everything else I throw at it. It handles better than my buddies full race Polaris. I love my XTR!!! Added 32's, rear clutch spring and 32's w/+2 on both sides +4" total width. It runs great. Holds the rpm's around 9800 now and pulls like crazy. I'm not afraid of the turbo cars except in a straight up drag race.

Defense contractor wanting access to a well established manufacturing facility, they also own Howe And Howe now.

I am no stranger to racing I spent the better part of 12 years pitting for my son-in-law who raced stock cars,IMCA modified,s and then 360 limited sprint cars all of which I help build but this is the point about what they’re spending on these so-called factory racing UTV desert cars. Nobody who is bragging about the brand of UTV that they are riding around in for pleasure can brag about their car manufacturer winning these big races because those cars are nothing but name recognition because there’s nothing factory about them except maybe the motor.

The xx is doing very well in the Lucas oil series. Jermey houl in his speedwerx car took third in the world championships at Crandon wi last year. There’s was I think 40 cars in that race and he was the only xx driver. He then went to the Lucas oil cup in the western series where he took first on sat and second on sun. Driver mistake on sun costed him the sweep. The first round of the Lucas oil western series a xx took third. He was one of two xx in the field. Lucas oil Midwest series will start in June. Be interesting to see how they do in both series this year only being the second year I existence. The xx is proving itself, just st a slower pace because of the lack of cars in a race. Hard to learn how to dial in a car when your the only one racing it. That will change through time. I know jermey turned a lot of head last year, expecialy when he was passing most of the field. Lol. there will be more xx racing in the Midwest series and will grow in the other. Hard to get teams to drop there already racecars and race something else.

Lucas oil is mostly Polaris and Yamaha in the non-turbo class. Brandon Arthur is racing a wildcat XX this season. I think he got 3rd at the opening round. He is a great driver and will likely be on the podium a lot this season.

Still waiting for a Wildcat XX to consistently finish desert races. RG and his speed cats have been plagued with problems. There is not reason the Wildcat XX is not up in the top 5 consistently in the non-turbo class.

As for the race stuff- follow Novamans build for the "stock" class. Should be interesting to follow along.
If I was building a stock class racer- the XX would be my first choice...no doubt.
My brother wants to do it- I don't really want to- my tired old bones are pretty worn out for that stuff...and I still like chasing and pitting.

Come to a race and see what it is all about. Silver State 300 next up...

Not sure yet. I hope RG does a shorter axle for his new dual plunge. The updated Textron axles/boots looks much better. I am probably going to buy 2 and use my old ones for spares. Everyone breaks axles and CV's at some point.
Bulloch managed to win a race with stockers...a 500 at that. And the no scrub rear setup kicks ass- hands down.
Don't forget to set up those 3 track bars on the X3 correct.
And better get out the laptop for all the limp modes...LOL

Axles will show up soon...I will stick with the stockers for now.

. Doesn't make any sense to come on here assuming you know it all. That is all I am saying.
When did I say, "I know it all"?

Been racing shit since 1984...I learn something new all the time...and I am HANDS ON prepping everything.

I noticed my right inner rear CV seeping a little around the clamp after my hard 50 miles in 2wd the other day. Probably got it real hot...blew up the boot enough for some grease to seep- not a lot...enough to trap the dirt. I know I will need some axle upgrades some day...no doubt...part of it.

Arctic Cat has been behind the competition for a very very long time.

Now Textron is pushing back and delaying this line even further with no 4 seat or turbo??

Then you complicate branding with Tracker and inconsistent MSRPs?

I hope I'm wrong... but this is a recipe for a sinking ship.

Such a shame ... for most of the off-road community, AC / Textron / Tracker has become completely irrelevant.
